Banned & Outlawed are a Country band from Hazelridge Manitoba Canada. Led by brothers Jon & Daniel Hnatishin, Banned & Outlawed is one of the most exciting acts to come from the musically-rich Canadian province of Manitoba.

Even though these guys are young-guns if you’re looking at the age on their licenses, they’re doing right by Country Music in a big way: keeping it modern in production while believing in traditional sensibilities in the songwriting. The songs are fun while retaining substance. Every one tells a story. The live show is hard-hitting and fun. Their fan-base is damn near die hard at this point, and growing like a wildfire in some dry bush. The band plays mainly original music live, but when they pick covers they’re always rockin’ that country gold. You’ll hear a current Pardi or Combs tune, but you’re also going to hear some Steve Earle or NItty Gritty in the mix. It’s all about keeping the flow going, and the guys get it going like the Red River when they hit that stage.

The band has been the short call for many promoters looking for an opening act for longer-established artists such as Aaron Pritchett, Dean Brody, Lonestar, The Hunter Brothers, Emerson Drive, and many more.

Banned & Outlawed have been learning and growing in the entertainment industry at every opportunity. Expanding their team has allowed their brand to be perceived in a way they always wanted: professional, here-to-work, and worth everyone’s time. Working closely with Greg Arcade at Golden Oak Record Co. has given the band the ability to move faster than ever. With Arcade in the production chair, the guys are full steam working towards a full length album with plenty of singles on th way in the meantime.

Up and coming is such a loaded statement. I wouldn’t say Banned & Outlawed are up and coming. They’ve already arrived, but now they’re building their community around good music and good times.
